Tatted in Buscalan

Sometimes, we get lost to be found.

Charot.

Toots, a very good friend of mine and me, out of our compulsive minds, decided to go to Buscalan, Apo Whang Od's place to get tatted. Actually, Toots already have 2 tats from the legendary 90+ years old living legend of Kalinga.

So i felt like it's my turn.

Baguio to Bontoc is 6hours bus ride away from each other. First bus out is 5am, so yeah. 5am is still 5am and I honesty, I'm a morning person but the day before that trip was shit.

In case you missed 5am bus, second one will go at 6am, and if still you missed that again, you're a lazy piece of shit. Get up and go you lazy ass.

Touch down Bontoc - go eat lunch somewhere in the market, but DO NOT FORGET THAT THE ONLY JEEPNEY FROM BONTOC TO BUSCALAN, KALINGA IS AT 2PM. Again, if you missed it, kill yourself because you need to stay in Bontoc overnight to catch the next morning's trip. Gudlak teh.

The Tat.

My main tat was done by Elyang, high school babe, her hands are light, but yeah, pain is pain. Look at my damned face. Then signature by Apo Whang Od. Those three dots gave me the chills at night. Couldn't move and can't sleep on right side. I was dying.

Well anyway, the climb up to the village was excruciating. Longest 45 mins of my life. Jonathan the guide (insert kilig here coz he's drop dead cute) made it easier though by carrying all my burdens in life (at that moment - BAG) and his jokes made me laugh all the way up. Good one lad, good one.

Home stay - CHARLIE KNOWS. Well, we weren't able to stay at kuya Charlie's house, but his neighbor was happy to accommodate us at php350 per night per head. They are very warm people and loves to talk about YOUR city life, so yeah, be prepared to have a sit with them for a while.

well anyway. I love apo Whang Od, she smiled when Toots took a pic of us. She looks very exhausted, but still accommodating.

I will definitely go back.
